Meet Christina Nakhle, our Topic Lead for Renewable Energy. Christina works at the Group for Sustainability and Technology at ETH, primarily on topics relating to energy and buildings. At GreenBuzz she focuses on our events related to energy.
Why did you choose to join the GreenBuzz Zurich team and what role do you play within the organisation?
I joined GreenBuzz after attending the summer party a few years ago because I enjoyed the energy and motivation that the team had towards positive impact. My role in the organization is to organize events relating to the energy transition.
In your opinion, what do you see as the biggest challenge for sustainability within your industry and what is a positive development within your industry with regards to sustainability?
There are multiple challenges in decarbonizing the energy system, but if I had to choose one for the Swiss market it would be the lack of a clear pathway for the future energy system. On a positive note, multiple renewable energy technologies have become economically competitive with their traditional counterparts.
