“I want my action to lead to a better society as a whole. Due to individual incentives, people act rationally but the outcome is not in everyone’s favour. Therefore efforts to advance have been pushed back.”
Despite this challenge, Benjamin sees reasons for the sustainability community to stay positive: “The conscience for problems has grown exponentially (e.g. climate change) and actively looking for solutions has become an acceptable behaviour.”
