Meet the GreenBuzz Zurich Volunteer Team!

We are proud to have a great and diverse team of sustainability professionals supporting our activities with their expert knowledge.

Meet Sylwia Orczykowska, our Marketing, Comms & Art Direction expert, and founder of ART NOW! GLOBAL. With her experience, she now supports the GreenBuzz Zurich team in communications and marketing.

We asked Sylwia to share her personal sustainability journey with us, what is means to her and how she wants to create impact at GreenBuzz. Read her answers here:


Why did you choose to join the GreenBuzz Zurich team and what role do you play within the organisation?

When I took part in my first GreenBuzz event, I had an irresistible impression of having strong bonds with the people who I had never met before. I realised that these were the same values that we shared all together. Joining GreenBuzz means being part of community with the purpose of making sustainability the new normal. 

I am excited to support the organisation of GreenBuzz networking events. The more of us connect, the more we are capable of driving impact. I also look forward to contributing my expertise in branding, marketing, and communication to empower GreenBuzz message to the world. 

What does sustainability mean to you?

I believe that one of our super powers as human beings is respect. Acknowledging oneself, other living beings, and the environment around us allows to keep the life force circle in balance. This is the journey I am on right now, and sustainability is like the North Star, showing me the right direction every day. 

In your opinion, what do you see as the biggest challenge for sustainability within your industry?

The age of constant disruption and environmental crisis we live in, exposes business to meeting new expectations. Designing a logo or a website for a company is not enough anymore. The driver is the promise the brand makes, the way it is embodied in the company’s DNA, and how it interacts with the environment. Developing authentic and sustainable brands with a purpose demands the highest levels of expertise, attentiveness, and empathy from marketing and communication professionals. 

What is a positive development within your industry with regards to sustainability (either a solution to the above-mentioned challenge or a future outlook towards positive change)?

We all witness an increasing sense of responsibility for the condition of our planet in different industries. Regenerating life on Earth is possible only if what companies communicate matches what they actually do. Is business ready to replace profit-driven strategies with life-oriented inspirations? Are societies willing to make the effort to change their habits and jump into a new lifestyle? I do believe that creative minds will help us get through this time of uncertainty and come back into harmony with nature right on time.
