The reduction of risks from pesticide use has received strong public attention lately and is on the agenda of policymakers and actors of food value chains worldwide. In Switzerland, citizens will have to vote on two popular initiatives for a restriction of pesticide use in 2020: “Die Initiative für sauberes Trinkwasser” and “Für eine Schweiz ohne synthetische Pestizide”.
