Your role:
The Operations and Compliance Manager ensures the effective, efficient and compliant operation of Clima Now and its core activities. You work closely with and at the intersection of the CEO and the Director of Impact to ensure that operations are closely linked to strategy and organizational (impact) targets. Ensuring that the foundation meets the highest standards of fiscal stewardship, risk management and operational excellence, while remaining agile and innovative.

Your duties and responsibilities:
You are responsible for our operations, process compliance and continuous process improvement at Clima Now:

  • Solutions Processes & Portfolio Controlling:
    Lifecycle management of investment- and project funding as well as financial- and impact controlling on the project-, portfolio-, and organizational level. Management and Quality Assurance of the overall Measurement Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Cockpit and processes of the foundation.
  • Impact and Finance Analysis & Controlling:
    Collection and analysis of relevant portfolio reporting data and synthesis thereof for the overall MEL process. Tracking and monitoring of budget allocation to support management in
    financial and strategic controlling/planning.
  • HR, Legal, Admin:
    HR administration and on boarding of new staff, compliance of internal/external policies in collaboration with external providers for legal and fiduciary/accounting services. ensuring
    document completion and compliance for annual statement and external audit in collaboration
    with management.
  • Spotlight Jury & Voting Compliance:
    Management and Quality Assurance / Compliance of public voting/jury voting process and results.
  • CRM Management: Set up and overall management of client relationship management tool used internally for fundraising purposes in close collaboration with our fundraiser.
  • Board of Trustees: In close collaboration with management, ensuring complete and
    compliant documentation and decisions protocol.

Your Education, Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts with a minimum of 5-7 years of proven experience in overseeing comparable complexity and scale of operations and/or

  • Proven track record in similar roles in compliance sensitive- / data driven- / process focused- /
    quality insurance centered roles in other sectors
  • Proven ability to track, analyze and leverage financial and operational metrics to drive organizational decisions and achieve strategic objectives.
  • Previous work experience within a philanthropic organization is desirable – but not a must. A diverse experience in working with corporate, financial, and multilateral sectors would also be valuable.
  • Excellent relationship-building and ability to engage internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and oral German and English communication skills
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills and ability to analyze information from variety of

    enjoys working in a small, agile team.

Role location Zürich, Start January 2023 or by agreement. This is an 80% to full-time position. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
